Ash Meadow Trip

Jason is a hunter. He likes to go check out new places to hunt, birds especially, so one day he comes home and says: Hey Sara, want to drive out to Pahrump and check out this spring? I then ask how long it will take to get out there, he says 40 mins to Pahrump, we can be home by three. I say sure! Why not, it's only December 15th, not too cold right?

So, off we go to Ash Meadows!

We finally get on the road and it takes an hour to get to Pahrump and then another 40 mins west of it to get to the springs. There wasn't much out there, but there was a nice spot for us to eat our picnic lunch at and a boardwalk that follows the run-off of the spring.

After lunch we walk up the board walk and there it is! This bright blue spring just bubbling up out of the ground. It was pretty cool!

So all and all it was a nice family bonding time and Jason got to use his spiffy binoculars!
